Last year was a very long year of learning and experiences for me trading. One of the most significant lessons learned was from watching Mark Douglas videos on Trading Psychology.
Mark Douglas, author of the Disciplined Trader and Trading In The Zone, has opened the eyes of thousands of traders to realize that the hardest part about trading is themselves.
Everyone wants to blame the market, the market movers, the news of the day, the economy, everything and anything else other than themselves.
I am thankful my eyes were opened and I was able to see and identify several psychological problems that haunted me, wrongly influenced me, and caused me to make what now seems like some of the dumbest mistakes. It has taken months for me to control and subdue those psychological problems.
In the past 6 – 8 weeks I have seen the progress I have made. By tracking my trades in a journal, I am able to that I am improving. I am able to see what appears to be a teetering on point where I am crossing over to being a more consistent and profitable trader.
